Artist's Comments

Inspired by the A Perfect Circle song of the same title.
Also by the angelically demonic renderings of Derek Hess and H.R. Giger.

The work is meant to be viewed either upside-down or otherwise depending on the viewer's interpretation.

Pure acrylic on canvas. :)

THIS DEVIATION IS AVAILABLE AS A PRINT!

EDIT: F me in the A. A Daily Deviation. I honestly never thought I'd snag one. A big thank you to :iconspinegrinder: for the feature. It means oodles to me! And also my unyielding thanks to :iconsphilr: for being just as awesome as he is.

I'll do my best to reply to comments. Also, in case you missed the memo and are thinking about requesting this as a print (which a few already have), do note that PRINTS ARE AVAILABLE HERE.[link]

Also, if you like this piece, please consider checking out what else I have lying round my gallery. Thanks for your time.

EDIT YET AGAIN:
So there's another DD right here. [link] I'm pretty much blown away by all the sudden attention to say the least. But what alarms me even more is :icongraysapphire:'s own rendition of The Noose, located here: [link]

Isn't that insane? I'm finding it extremely fun examining the similarities and differences between our pieces ad styles (of which there are limitless). You should too! Sapphire's a better artist than I.

That is all.

Daily Deviation

Given 2007-10-08

Perilous adventures in the land of the damned are nothing new to =Childofthewild666; his The Noose is bursting at the seams with wild techniques applied with palpable energy and unique vision. (Suggested by `sphilr and Featured by $spinegrinder)

Mmm, I love the sharp contrast as well as blends you can get with acrylics. And yeah, nice colours within the colours, for highlighting and stuff, and yeah, generally cool concept. :)

I like the song, also Blue and Pet from the same album.

I put some cyanide and white down today as a base on a canvas military bag, I'm planning to do the whole thing, since the fabric's still mobile after paint-age. Looking through your gallery will probably give me some good texture ideas for the piece I plan to paint over it. :P

Cool! Cyanide as in the suicide juice? Interesting.
Glad my textures are helping or giving you some inspiration.

The child of the wild we've come to know and love; the seer of things hitherto unseen, inventor of wild-ass new techniques and the ass-kicking energy required to apply them-- holy mackerel, this thing is beautiful...
